Agoraphobia

Thou shalt not fear, for the room is empty
Thou shalt walk in, for there's none to fear
Thou shalt not cry, for nothing is more heavy
And thou shalt leave, if the sick makes thou tear.

Take the first step, since there are no monsters to be feared
Take the second step, since there's no-one there to shout
Rest thy back on the wall, since thy fears have long been gone
And enjoy Debussy's melody, for no-one else will come

"Chega de corrupção!" Was brought to thy ears.
"Vai pro inferno, Dilma!" Someone would taunt
"Esse é só o começo!" They have warned
as they took over the room, even leaving thou unharmed

"Stop! Stop!" thou says loudly on thy mind
"I cannot join you! Please, forgive me, but leave me alone!"
But the shouts cannot leave the borders of thought
So gather thy strenght to say it at once.

"Com licença. Com licença." thou says as loudly as thy shy voice can
As you get away from the crowds, to the roads of chance
and you run
run
RUN!
I GOTTA GET AWAY FROM HERE!
LET ME OUT!
LET ME OUT!

...

Thy voice is heard
and by a stranger, listened
and thy mind quiets down
to ask of thee "what have I done?"
